Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since November 11, 1996. Alison Doody made her movie debut as the Bond model on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. A photographer approached Doody. Doody took up modelling that eventually led to an industry-related career in modelling. Doody did not like glamour or nude work, a rule that she incorporated into her acting. When she came to the director's attention for a James Bond film, Doody accepted a minor role on the film A View to a Kill (1985). Doody's name was featured within John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising young actors from 1986. 38. Doody was just 18 when she made her appearance in the Bond part. To date Doody is considered to be the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) with Mickey Rourke, also featured an unimportant role in the form of IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actress in a 1987 adaptation to The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The Storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first leading role. It aired in 1988 alongside Dawn French, John Hurt as well as Jennifer Saunders. She acted alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer and an forensic archaeologist in the 1989 movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was inspired by the publication fraud called the Hitler Diaries. She then moved to Hollywood. The choice was made to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal she went on to play opposite Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his girlfriend and agent. Doody was a part of The 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine was her character in a celebration to receive an award. In 2004, Doody appeared with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. Doody was also cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Then, she appeared in the RTE medical thriller The Clinic. She was scheduled to also play the lead role in a remake in 2011 of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She also appeared as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was presented to her on the 21st of November in 2018. She also received a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
