Anna Kendrick

Anna Kendrick was born to Janice (Cooke), an accounting professional as well as William Kendrick (a teacher). She has an older brother, Michael Cooke Kendrick, who has also performed. She is of English, Irish, and Scottish descent.For her performance as "Dinah" in "High Society" on Broadway, Anna Kendrick was nominated for an Tony Award (second youngest ever) and she also won a Drama Desk Award, and she was awarded a Fany Award (best actress featured in a musical). Her spectacular performance landed her the Drama League and Theatre World Award.She was a lead performer with Cabaret's Kit Kat Club at "Carnegie Hall Live" in Great Performances: My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies (1999) (TV). Alongside Scott Ellis and Susan Stroman She had the chance to collaborate with Jeremy Irons at the New York City Opera House. She was the character Fredrika in "A Little Night Music" and was a part of Todd Graff on the feature film Camp (2003). After 1991's Tony winner Daisy Eagan, she was the second-youngest nominated. George Clooney ridiculed her in the NYC Opera House with Jeremy Irons and choreographer Susan Stroman. She also appeared in "Jane Eyre" and "The Little Princess" for Broadway. In 1998, Jason Reitman cast her in Up in the Air. This was after watching her performance in Rocket Science (2007). Only actress from the 'Twilight Saga to be nominated for an Oscar. In 2010 she was nominated between the second and third seasons of the series.
